nScrypt Releases nStudio Machine Control Software for Beta Testing

nScrypt Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of next-generation microdispensing, 3D manufacturing, and biomanufacturing equipment and solutions, has announced the release of its new nStudioTM software for beta testing by some of its system users. nStudio is the next generation nScrypt machine control software, which is expected to replace the current and older versions of nScrypt’s current software with enhanced user friendliness and new and improved features.

nStudio’s intuitive, easy to learn user interface is optimized to show all necessary controls in a consolidated view.

New features include: 

  • Client-Server architecture allows remote operation
  • User identification allows NIST compatibility with optional Windows Active Directory
  • Streamlined printing workflow is file-centric instead of job-centric
  • Visuals match process/project flow
  • Includes future application-centric modules, such as nStudio-Bio and nStudio-Circuit
  • Fully integrated machine setup
  • Separated print process/project preparation and machine operation
  • Enhanced graphical design consistent with Windows 10
  • Supports stl, gcode, txt, dxf, and gerber files, including dxf infilling
  • nMill support, for milling, drilling, and polishing tool head
  • Height confirm
  • Motion program post processor
  • View fiducial positions in 3D viewer
  • View scan path in 3D viewer
  • Cylinder origin support
  • Machine 3D view
  • Motion file node
  • Check file scan addon
  • Import Prusa slicer settings (.ini) as material
  • Sortable objects (gizmos, slots, etc.)

Improvements:

  • Option to pause after scan
  • ROI Scan is separated from Area Scan
  • ROI Scan pathing speedup
  • Machine will not move up to safeZ if already in position
  • Scanning percent more accurate
  • Measure cylinder tool can be applied in project editor
